Saying Goodbye To The 75

Yep. The time has come and now it's time for the venerable ol' 75 to go the way of the 100. I never was a huge fan of the 75. It filled a niche I didn't really need filled. Now that it's gone, it'll be missed. Next year we lose those stalwart 60 and 40's. Thanks, Dubya! I like having fewer choices.

The Libertarian Party wouldn't have done any better. Not because of anything it would or would not have done but because what it would or would not have done is in direct contradiction with what a majority of voters want. And it would render itself traitors to its platform or politically unviable in about 2 election cycles. In our current reality, it cannot do both.

Changing the parties isn't the solution.

Eh. Standard bulbs are old news. Wifi bulbs are where it's at! Control them from anywhere and change them to any color you want with the iPhone app.

I read somewhere that you'll still be able to buy the "heavy duty" kind. But "they" will be monitoring usage to see if they'll need to ban those too.

I simply replaced everything with halogen spotlights. Sure, that fixture looks funny in my kitchen, but it's bright enough to burn your shadow into the wall.
