Ok, see if you can follow along. You have the left. They all like thier guy. You have the right. They split their votes among two candidates. If both sides are about equal who will win? Come on, you can do it.

This tells me the right are split between a Constitutionalist and a socialist.

The right will only be right if they vote for the Constitutionalist, otherwise, they are voting for a wolf in sheep's clothing...but sheep don't understand this, they just want one of their own kind in office.

This is going to be a close race guys. I don't care if you like Romney. Vote against Obama, by voting for Romney if that makes you feel better, no problem. If you do not vote for Romney, then you are responsible for Obama being reelected, plain and simple.

Technically I am a Libertarian, but I'm not stupid enought to vote outside the two party system in a presidential election. Maybe in ten years a third party will have enough momentum to matter, but it isn't reality now.

FINALLY! Someone gets it! The most important thing about getting a Republican in office is to keep completely unqualified idiots like that activist Kagan OFF the Supreme Court!

Right... because idiot activist judges will hold lots of power in the aftermath of a collapsed nation that could no longer sustain its government.

The first principle of politics is you have to WIN an election. If you don't WIN you will never even move the ball down the field toward your goals

Right... place all of your bets on this one next game... pay no attention to the rest of the match, the season or the integrity of the sport as a whole.

Amen, no Republican president is ever going to go after the 2nd amendment. It would be political suicide. We have the possibility that the next president will have to make one or possibly two SCOTUS nominations. If the Socialist in Chief is still in office then our cause is lost. At some point in your life you will realize that you can't get exactly what you want. Attacking your friends as if they were your enemies simply illustrates that you don't understand that. If you vote for anyone other than Romney, you are effectively voting for a liberal supreme court. If and when that happens we will be lucky if we are able to post on this forum in another couple of years. Cheers to you.

Has Bork changed his position on the 2nd Amendment? Rommey has selected him to lead his Judicial Advisory Committee.

That's funny, ten years ago I heard someone making a similar argument as to why they won't try to change the status quo. And ten years before that.

    Stupid is as stupid does.

OK. It will be me. I'm the one who will get Obama elected.

Technically, you are Establishmentarian. The two parties own you.

Maybe in ten years you'll wish you had participated in growing that momentum. Probably not, there are too many people waiting like you for someone else to make it possible.

Perhaps a notwithstanding clause, similar to our northern neighbors, would help quell this nonsensical fear of Supreme Court nominations.

If my vote is so vital for Romney winning, then maybe he should try representing me. He has no desire to do so.

The surest way to influence a candidates policies is to vote for them regardless of how horrible those policies are. What's sad is that Romney's biggest cheerleaders here can't grasp that Romney couldn't care less about representing you because he's guaranteed to get your vote.

What makes you think Mitt is for the 2A? His words?

I tell my oldest daughter all the time that you never listen to a boys words. He will say whatever he has to in order to get what he wants. You have to watch his actions, how he treats other people, look at his character but mute his mouth.

Romney is like a teenage boy. Look at his voting record in Mass, check out the things he has done, not just what he says.

In that respect, I think BHO does a better job. He said what he was wanting to do, just didn't call it socialism, and then proceeded to do it.

Neither will get my vote. Gary Johnson looks like the best candidate to me if Dr Paul doesn't win the nomination.

I dont know for sure but his website states what I posted

You are either Libertarian, or you are not.
You either believe in free market principles or you do not.
You either believe in property rights or you do not.
You either believe in the founding principles of the US Constitution or you do not.

I've never met a halfway Libertarian before.

Your qualification to be stupid does not resonate with Libertarians.

Surely if we all sit around and wait long enough things will change, why should we have to do anything about it. I mean politics will change over time if we just sit and wait it out.

Self-fulfilling prophacy. My vote wont change anything..... I'll just wait till a third party has enough momentum.... this isn't the election or time to fight this..... might as well vote for the lesser of two evils...... Well I don't want the other guy in office......

Nothing will change if people don't stand up and start voting for the people whom they WANT in office, instead of the lesser of two evils.
You know who could have sat back and waited for change to happen, instead of getting out and making change happen, our founding fathers. But they DIDN'T, they got out there and they made that **** happen.
