President Obama to visit Kokomo

FOX28.com has learned that President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will come to Indiana next week. The President and Vice President are scheduled to visit Kokomo on Tuesday.
The Mayor's office in Kokomo is referring all inquiries to the White House Press Office. An official announcement from the White House is expected Thursday. No information is available as to the purpose of the visit.

Obama and Biden are to fly in to Grissom Air Reserve Base.

It just hit the news wires today. White House to release the details this afternoon. Should be a major event.

What I really want to know is, why is Indiana so important to them. We all pretty much see what the direction and agenda of the White House is. Why alll the Indiana love, I mean they are constantly coming here....why. Plus they don't just stop at Indy. Goshen, kokomo, Indianapolis do they have plans for our state? It just seems a little odd to me.

Probably tied to GM somehow, Kokomo and Anderson were big auto parts towns at one time. Driving by the Anderson race track brought back memories of all the factories now gone.

I feel sorry for Kokomo, I would be ashamed if they came to my home town. I think they are going to loose Ohio in 2012, IN to our shame went with Obama in 2008 so he probably wants to try an keep IN in good stands with him, too many idiots like him here....I don't mean here on INGO...IN in general.

Thanks for ruining my week. I have to go pick up my son at IU next Tuesday. Now either it will take me two days to get through Grissom and Kokomo alone or I will be routed through IL to get to IU.

Kokomo is a UAW town. Very blue-collar with rock solid liberal, "entitlement for life" mentality. Makes for a very friendly photo-op oppertunity. Should be able to hear the cheering all the way to Tipton.

We will be on our best behavior. Most people don't even know that Grissom is still an operational, 24 hour functioning Air Reseve base. We are the largest tanker Wing in the Air Force Reserve.
We support special missions all the time. There are two missions that still send a chill up my spine. Receiving redeployers from the war zone and Angel Flights bringing home our fallen warriors.
