It's 100% an anti- Islam and event, and something I expect from the guys of Stormfront to put on. It's offensive, distasteful speech (and 100% protected). Pictures of the prophet at offensive to followers of that particular faith, so when non-followers creates such images, they are purposefully being offensive. They may think this is a thumbing their nose at radicals with this act, but in the process, they are offending ALL believers of that faith.

Thumbs down for anyone who participated in this event.

people drawing distasteful pictures of an Islamic religious figure are a hate group. People pissing on a crucifix in a bucket are artists.

Yes. That's the advantage of owning most of the microphones and buying your ink by the ton.

One can argue that the Texas contest was inflammatory, or insensitive or even hateful. However, it's a 1st Amendment right exercised in this country. That same 1st Amendment allows Muslims (and others) to freely practice their religion in this country. IMO, the issue is assimilation. This is not an Islamic dictatorship where the law requires everyone to practice the same religion and prohibits the creation of "graven images." This country and our Constitution come as a package deal.

If more than 99.9999% of "those people" have no issues whatsoever, how can it be a problem with assimilation?

It is a problem of criminality or terrorism.

Anyway, in light of the various "Little Italy" and "Chinatown" type places - or heck, have you ever been to Hawaii? - when has America ever DEMANDED IN A REALLY LOUD VOICE that people assimilate? Immigrants come here because the want more freedom, not less. (That's a demographic generalization.)

an issue is the silence of the 99.9999%

we have no shortage of people jumping on the event organizers. Where are the 99.9999% saying not to shoot people?

A thought just occurred to me: has anybody seen any of those snarky, mocking good guys with guns posts and/or memes from the mad moms yet, regarding this event?

Don't hesitate to call those ****birds out. MSNBC and NYT both jumped in on it, calling the event an "anti-islamist" group. I guess that's what "pro 1A" is today.

No, not going to allow that re-definition. Anyone trying to say Americans aren't allowed to draw ****ing pictures is a ****-eating hack.

But these asshat news organizations will back the ACLU and their defense of child molesters... unbelievable...

Um....CRUSADES (if you want to keep believing the whole moral equivalency thing, you may not want to do any research about the Crusades).
