This was 100% predictable and preventable. Share a vaguely plausible idea with thousands of people and you can expect a certain percentage will believe it. I use wireless QI technology to charge my tablet, so that "Ad" was close enough to the truth to be plausible for some. There should have at least been a small disclaimer at the bottom to indicate it was a joke.

The 4chan horde doesn't really do warnings or disclaimers....

You've got to be a complete waterhead to believe that an OS update can make your phone water proof or able to "wave charge". Then again, people are paying for specs that have been in Android based phones for several years while thinking they've got the latest and greatest.
