Another classic in the offing, one day someone will be as dumb as I was and read the entire archives before becoming a member. And possibly read this thread, and laugh as hard as I did while reading “tin can” and all the rest.

I read a lot, one of my most enjoyable reads last year was the INGO archives, laughed so hard a lot of times I had tears rolling down my cheeks. Kept me entertained for a whole week in the eve.

This is my only www interaction, I thought I could relate with a lot of what I was reading. Unlike ALL of the other crap on the www.

If you go back to when dirt was new, this was an entirely different place. Some of those old time mods were hard. Some of those old time posters could make you spit your coffee out your nose.

I think TK should do away with the 50 post rule, and make reading of the archives the qualification for what ever privilege you get after 50 quality posts. The new members would be more appreciative of this site. And we could eliminate some trolls. JMO.

You might be thinking of Savage Eagle. He got into a dispute with management and started going back and deleting all of his posts and just leaving the period. They eliminated any editing for a long time after that.

No, this guy did it in completely random posts. He hadn’t posted anything in the thread, other than “.”

It was weird and I still can’t figure it out. He wasn’t rage deleting, it was just “.” in numerous posts.

On the previous version of the forum people would do that as a short cut to subscribe to a thread and therefore be notified on activity.
