NO. Its gotta be recorded once. THEN subsequent ones are a cover.

CSB thats related. Prince actually wrote The Bangles song Manic Monday. (under a pseudonym) He had a thing for the ladies, and would often gift them songs to record that he thought they would do well with. And he did it on the down low so it didnt take away from their reputation and steal the spotlight. So apparently even though he could be insufferable (like having his handlers tell people backstage that they were not allowed to look at/make eye contact with him), he could also be very gracious and generous with those in his inner circle.
