    Update:

Well he went to court and here are the results:

    (1) The bus driver did get 90% of his TAG.
    (2) There IS a handicapped bus that stops at the exact spot in question.
    (3) The Officer DID his job with investigation.
    (4) The bench trial went well..

..I was proud of my son for asking the judge to present the courts evidence, and they did. My son at the end said that although he does not remember it, that the state did prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he did do it.

...Judge was kind and said that he appreciated my sons honesty and he fined him $35 +court costs (~$150..same as fine). (Insurance went up $75 every six months).

All in all it was a good lesson for my son and I am so proud as it was him against a judge, Police Officer, 2 witnesses....He wanted to look toward his parents when the questions came but he did not. He stood his ground.
My son became a man in my eyes that morning last month! I am proud.

He will in less than a year be leaving to serve his country.

    I am one PROUD Papa!

NOTE: Sorry for not posting sooner but things have been nuts lately...I hope to be back more often.

Well done, son and dad (and mom of course)! You took the harder road and gave your son an experience in the real world. Glad you got a good judge.

Sounds like he conducted himself in the best possible manner for court, and many other situations to come later on: remaining calm.

Hearings, interviews, disciplinary actions, evaluations, promotions, etc. can all turn out a little better with some calm and restraint.

I've been to family court a couple of times, sometimes remaining calm is the HARDEST thing to do.

+1 to him for maintaining composure.

Awesome that he was a man about it all :) So many people these days try to weasel out of everything. It's good to see there are still some good ones out there.

OK. I read the first 3 and last 3 pages.

Sounds like you've continued to do a good job with him.

Seemed like a good kid when we met at the range a few years back.

Update: My Son leaves for Boot camp on Monday....He has joined the Air Force....:patriot:

And per the thread...I have seen a black car (same model as my sons) with a young girl passenger leaving out of my addition over 4 times now.

I am now 99% sure he did NOT pass that bus. That being said, he had his day in court, he lost and he has moved on. I am very proud of him.
