Remember collect calls where it played back your name?

    Mom come pick me up
That and the ten cent phone call at the corner pay phone.

When I was in school living in the dorm, we had a collect call phone down the hall. You just picked it up, dialed your Mom and said your name. She never refused to accept the charges.

I called my parents collect when I was in the Navy.
My dad told me never call collect again unless I'm in jail, or injured on the side of the road.
And even then, I'd better give it a second thought.

My dad would always use a calling card, that after pressing about 40 buttons, you would only pay a few cents per minute.
Wow, I forgot all about those cards. My employer issued them back in the 80's and we had to use them for calling home while traveling on business. I traveled so much back then that I had the long numbers memorized.

I still remember my card I had in the Navy.
Basically, it was a credit card number.

So, I DON'T know my credit card, or debit card, number... but I know a number I haven't used in 30 years.

Yeah, I remember that getting a collect call always had a negative vibe associated with it, kind of like being the victim of a pickpocket or a petty thief.

So, my halloween display has two faces, made up with orange C7 lights

There are 2 more voices programmed, that I haven't made faces for yet.
I was going to make the 3rd face tomorrow. But I need 10 strings, if I remember right.
    I have..... ONE.

So, I have enough spare red strings to make one.
    Enough white strings
And I might have enough purple

Should I just wait till next year, so I can keep the faces the same?
    Or use a different color?
