NSA leaker Edwin Snowden: Hypothetical situation

OK...I was listening to the news this morning while coming to work about Mr. Snowden being in a Moscow Airport and chuckled that Odumbo and his rat pack cant get to him and got a thought......what if, hypothetically, if Mr. Snowden had some REALLY damning information in his little treasure trove of goodies.

So I decided to post this thread and see what everyone elses views were on this particular subject: What if Edwin Snowden (hypothetically) had irrefuteable proof that President Obama isnt actually a naturally born citizen of these Great United States? What exactly would happen? How would this country take the news that our president wasnt qualified to run for office, and had been elected illegally? What would the world do/say?

Sadly the press would respond by talking about how his right leg is actually 1/4 inch shorter than his left leg.They would probably also mention he once put a dog to sleep rather than give it chemo therapy,to save a few dollars.Oh,and did you know he did not graduate high school.The conservative media would point out he lived in sin with his girlfriend and attended a peace rally when he was 12.

The people who support Obama wouldn't care, just like they haven't cared about any of the scandals and/or his poor job performance. The people who don't support Obama would jump up and down saying I told you so, and then wonder why so many people don't care. In short, it would change nothing.

This isn't representative of my feelings on Obama...but can we stop with the birther **** already? You can argue all you want that the evidence thus far submitted is falsified. There has been zero concrete proof and I've seen all of the conspiracy theorist spewings.

I would like to point out that Obama has submitted more proof of citizenship then Romney ever did and I never saw any birther demand from him his income taxes.

If you're going to attack Obama attack him on something real. Attack him on the NSA stuff, his lack of transparency that he promised. But really...get something BETTER than birther junk, because no one will take it seriously at this stage in the game.

Citizenship vs "Natural Born Citizen" are 2 different things. Schwarzenegger is a citizen, but no natural born, hence cannot be president.
Barry, regardless of where he was born, was born to a mother who was a US citizen & is therefore a US citizen.
Similar issue raise when Goldwater ran. He was born in the AZ Territory & was declared natural born.

OK, so in your opinion, in a country in which most of us are not permitted to engage in a wide variety of activities without proactively proving to the government's satisfaction that we are capable and have jumped through any number of hoops, you don't believe that the same should be required of a candidate for president BEFORE being placed on the ballot? After all, the rest of us have to proactively prove ourselves 'qualified' before driving, working on plumbing, or cutting hair, among other things.

What proof did Obama generate other than that computer-generated long form?

Your other suggestions are indeed worthy items to be addressed, but that doesn't change the fact that you are basing your argument on the notion that a lie has been accepted as truth, therefore we are required to treat it as truth lest we be thought fools. It reminds me of a children's story featuring a buck naked emperor.

At the time of his birth, citizenship law required that a parent could impart U.S. citizenship to their child if they had spent five of the years after age 14 within these United States of America. Ann Dunham was 18 and thus could not impart citizenship to her son via law of the blood. If he was thus born anywhere not on American soil, he is thus not an American citizen. Might I suggest you research the issue, as well as the obvious photoshopped forgery posted to whitehouse.gov where the distinct falsification marks are readily explained via the layering process. But you are right, this issue is long settled. For me, at least. He's obviously ineligible to serve and now that he has served, it is also readily apparent that he has committed treason. Literally. Not in the grandiose or hyperbolic sense, but in the literal sense of adhering to our enemies and providing them with tangible aid and comfort (arms and cash from the treasury).

The upcoming trial will undoubtedly be epic and worth frying up a kettle of popcorn.

As an aside, I really wish that people would realize that the correct term is "native born" - not "natural born". Natural born just indicates that the baby was not taken by C-section.

May want to whip out a copy of the Constitution before you correct folks.

"Clause 5: Qualifications for office
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President..."

My son isn't "native born" as he was born outside the US. However he is a naturally born citizen through me and we have a CRBA certificate for him to prove this. (Consular Report of Birth Abroad)
