In CA...the Bay area had floated the idea a couple of years ago. Guess it's now infected other areas.

I'm trying to imagine what would allow Americans to be so stupid, as to allow something like this to happen to them.

But seeing the colossal failure that Barack Obama is as U.S. President, and the fact that our Cro-Magnon buffoons of neighbors voted him in, I think I have my answer: they will convince themselves that "somebody else will be paying for it." That seems to be all it takes to get Americans to allow failure to happen.

It's just like the articles where you see these little soccer-mom twits who voted for Obama and support his health care plan, and now are all butt-hurt because THEIR coverage just skyrocketed: "I liked what his plan was going to do, because I think it needs to be fair and all the low-income people and stuff...I just didn't realize _I_ would be paying for it!"

So there you go. The same people will convince themselves the mileage tax will only hit those "long commuter" types and truck drivers, etc. - "I only go to Kohl's and Meijers, it won't hurt me." Then they will get the bill for their trip to Florida, and SOCK-O, the reality will hit home.

    Song poem whatever

If you drive a car, I'll tax the street / If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat / If you get too cold I'll tax the heat / If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet

I just wrap mine in tin foil when I'm not watching porn or posting on INGO.

Does this leave time for anything else :p

Dont worry, I used BHO's brothers name when I got my Obamaphone. They'll never catch me!!!! Hahahahahahahahaha.:laugh:

......meanwhile, Kenyan authorities are working to determine the cause of a late afternoon explosion. :D

I wonder if I were to drive everywhere in reverse if I'd get a tax check? Kind of like installing a solar array or windmill and getting paid to put power back into the grid.

Here's a beauty for you, Tax the miles you drive, black box in car to record miles. Seems full of fail, but hey, the Libertarians are supposedly for it. Maybe all the high mileage cars cut into the gas tax collections, ooppps....

Plan would track, tax cars by mile - chicagotribune.com

    Darn....dupe, sorry

This is already being done, there are huge taxes on fuel so the more you drive the more fuel you buy hence the more taxes you pay.
