What the **** did this field filler of a driver do? Oh, I know, not a ****ing thing, thats what.

Bubba Wallace Nominated for Sportsman of the Year at the BET Awards

Bubba Wallace of 23XI Racing earned a nomination for Sportsman of the Year at the BET Awards 2022. The organization called out the NASCAR Cup Series driver’s contributions on and off the track for reasons why he was in contention for the award.
Wallace’s Netflix docuseries, “Race: Bubba Wallace,” was released earlier this year and highlighted the driver’s experience with newfound social activism and his role in helping the sport become more inclusive.
Other nominees for the award include Aaron Donald (Los Angeles Rams), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies), LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers) and Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors).

Wow! First time since 1960. I can’t wait to hear what they did to these cars. If they find more cheating they’re liable to throw the book at Gibbs:

I wonder if NASCAR is not intentionally staging some controversy to attempt to drag some of the fans back that they pushed away with the flag/BLM/woke/Bubba :poop:?

They will need more than this. Possibly a public expellment of Big mouth Bubba. That might get a few at least to pay attention. Beyond that the damage is done. The few they attracted to the series from those staged acts have already went elsewhere for something more woke provoking.

Interesting. If there is not a specific rule against it then do it.
Or so said George Bignotti on his loose interpretation of the USAC rules covering the 500.
I sort of agree with him.
Unfortunately (for Gibbs) they remove wrap during the post-race inspection and found they had altered the shape of the front fascia. Definitely against a specific rule. Can’t believe they thought they could get away with that, at least not all season. A friend of mine just said “I’ll bet the fab and wrap guys are going to be busy this week”… They’re probably fixing every front fascia they have right now, at least for the longer-track cars.

Yeah that’s a push but you understand George’s way of reading the rule books.

Imo it worked as plan, they have four drivers in the so called playoffs. Makes you wonder why after they found the in fraction they didn’t check the rest of their cars. Tokyo Joe is no dummy.
