    You guys are too kind. Thank you all for the compliments. I am working on my second now. It will be for my son. He said he wanted a tanto style blade. We'll see how it goes. I'll get some pictures of it when I manage to finish it. That is if I can squeeze in the time to get it done.

    Well the knife has a full tang, which started out straight. The piece of steel I started with had been cut down to that height at some point before I ended up with it. I wanted the slight curve to it, so I had to heat it and beat it to shape.

    From there, I traced the outline onto my scale material and cut it out slightly over-sized with the scroll saw. I then temporarily attached the scales to the tang and started filing and sanding them to match the tang. Once they were fairly close, I epoxied and pinned them on for good and finished up the sanding mainly by hand, but the Dremel with a drum sander bit helped in some of the spots.
