My Brother and I went down to Westfield Powersports and both of us are going back down to buy riding gear. I have only worn leather HD coats except when I went thru motorcycle course at Great Mistakes and San Diego. They were very strict.
There is no 1 and done with gear, something is always more comfortable in high heat, or in the cold, or in the rain. But any gear is a good start.

55* when I left this am on the bike to go to the Point Blank Range in Greenwood.
    72* on the way home.
    Fun day.
6th time riding MC this year.
Put in fresh gas today, got 53 mpg (56 mean avg in 2021) using up the treated gas that it sat with over the winter.
Yes, I keep stats on that also. :lmfao:

Took it into my head that I could ride the 18 miles to the gym today on the bike. :dunno:
Temps of 41* - 43* proved not to be such a good idea.
I used to do such things in my younger days just b/c in was invigorating.
My bones let me know, not any more. :fogey:
55* the other day was fine, but what was I thinking, that I could handle the low 40s.

A change of gear and you'll be just fine. :-)

    Also:

Tom Wood Honda and Tom Wood BMW have moved to 5310 E 96th Street. 1 door east of the old location! Much more room.
They will have an open house with music, food and BMW Demo rides on 4/22-23/22.

I feel like the people who design motorcycle jeans have never seen a human body before. Show of hands; whose femurs are twice the length of their tibias/fibulas?

My moto pants... I'm afraid the knee pad will do more damage to my knee because it's so low.

That is, uh, usually the preference. Unless you only do day rides though, you don't always get the choice.

Love it when I can combine 2 hobbies.
I had to pick up a SW 2nd Gen 496 today that I had repaired.
When I looked at the weather, I saw it was 50* & thought, "Oh boy!" & reached for the MC jacket & gloves.
10 miles there & 20 miles taking the long way back: a good time.
I admit to having to stop & put a shop rag that I had in the trunk between my helmet & jacket to protect my old neck from the wind. :lmfao: :oldwise:
