Did you consider the 3/4 ton version. I think that’s the standard gas engine in those.

Those have the 6.0 liter, which is completely different animal. The 6.2 Is basically the engine from the Camaro SS or the Vette. It makes driving a pickup truck fun.

We’re both wrong. Looks like they’re 6.6L gas now. I know when I was shopping for them before, I could tell if it was a diesel or not by the engine size but now they’re both the same displacement, I think.

I see a few people posting their Suburbans. . . . guess I can post my Excursion, essentially a F250. I have had several Suburbans and a couple years ago I was wanting another one. This time I thought I would try the Ford version. While I liked my Suburbans, they are nothing like the Excursion. I have had three now. This is my latest. A 2001, bought it with just over 89K miles.

Barely broken in.

We have done all the mid life maint on it. Wheel bearings and some front end parts. All the 100K stuff. We service both diffs every other year and change the trans fluid at that time. Regular oil change. I did smoke the transfer case in it and that is 100% on me not the truck.

It has been a good truck for us. I am wanting something newer but man I hate to let this one go.

Ebay...about $200 they're great at night. Hit the high beams during the day and you an see them, at night they're amazing. The low beams are still incandescent, because I ordered the wrong LED's
