Hadn't seen this in another thread/worthy of some discussion IMHO. @BehindBlueI's anything you can add would be appreciated since it is definitely your lane.

Mystery shrouds the deaths of three Kansas City Chiefs fans found dead in their friend's snowy backyard after a Jan. 7 NFL watch party.

Jordan Willis hosted the gathering in his Northwest 83rd Terrace home. After Ricky Johnson, 38, Clayton McGeeney, 36, and David Harrington, 37, were found dead on his property two days later, he reportedly told family members that his friends "froze to death," a victim's family member told FOX4 Kansas City.

Willis has since moved out of the home "in fear of retaliation," according to his attorney John Picerno.

Experts have told Fox News Digital that a drug laced with fentanyl could have contributed to their deaths, or a drug like K2 that can be mistaken for marijuana and cause an overheating sensation that may have led the men to jump into the snow before passing out.

After she was unable to reach her partner or Willis by phone, McGeeney's fiancee reportedly drove to Willis' Northland residence on Jan. 9 and banged on the door.

When she got no answer, she broke in, announcing her presence and shouting Willis' name inside. Picerno told Fox News Digital that his client did not hear the knocks at his door or the woman breaking in.

There, she stumbled upon one of the men's bodies on the back porch. She called police, who arrived at the scene around 8:51 p.m.

There definitely has to be more to this story when the autopsy toxicology reports come out.

Been keeping up on it. You lawyer up and don’t talk, then you lawyer can’t stop talking…lol. After watching so much my guess is the owner gave or slipped the guys drugs, probably had fentanyl in it, the 3 went out for fresh air or smoke and collapsed and then froze. The owner seems he was out of it for at least a full more day, he probably passed out inside and survived. Tox report should tell more. Owner story does not match the 5th guy who left other 4 while Jeopardy was on tv which was before game, and has since move out of house. Owner said he walked them to the front door when they left and went to bed.

Not sure what I can add based on what's been said. Death invest would run something like take statements from anyone with knowledge, see if there's video, that sort of basic every-investigation-steps. Then you're in a holding pattern until tox results and coroner's report. If it's ruled a homicide or not, etc.

Sounds like intoxication leading to exposure at first read, but who knows from this remove.

Doesn't KC have a large organized crime presence? Maybe these guys were part of that or saw something they should not have seen. The whole story being offered by the police is almost not plausible.
    Who knows??? :dunno:

That's a "yes". "Casino" accurately gives some history.....but I highly doubt that it is a factor in this case.

Sounds like at least 4 got high, 3 went outside and froze. Fourth stayed high on the couch. Fifth guy left earlier. Weird, but the whole circumstance doesn't scream homicide to me. It screams drugs.

    Anyhoo,
