I tried day shift back in 2009. Lasted 4 weeks. The problem wasn't the hours, it was the people.
I have to ask, when you say people was it the criminals or the Police? I ask this because in a lot 24 hour organizations in the USAF I was around like Aircraft Maintenance and Security Forces (AKA Air Force Cops) there were guys who never wanted to work days. Too much brass, too much BS during the day. Swings and Mid-shift? Do your job with minimal hassle.

That’s my fear as well because I’m kind of spoiled by the atmosphere I have at night currently. But, you know my little microcosm isn’t that bad so I should be in pretty good shape. Here’s hoping I feel like a regular person again and not on the continual verge of losing my wife and kids.

The first two weeks after work, I slept at night, was awake during the day.
I thought, well this adjustment seems to be going well.

Last couple days... well I guess not.

I'm up freezing myself unloading another freaking load of ethanol. In the last six days, I've done just 4 gas stations and 20 loads of ethanol. That's 260,000 gallons of 200 proof corn booze.

Edit: I'm not actually unloading right now. I'm waiting for another truck to get out of the way so I can.
