That was good advice. When I was a new guy, an old timer told me, keep coming in that gate day after day. Soon, you'll look back and wonder where the time went.

We had a similar mixture we called rocket fuel. Every body brought a bottle and poured it in. I swear it would run a sprint car engine. The results were the same no matter.LOL I should’ve read the whole thread before responding to churchmouse!
I start day shift on 1/10. Seventeen years of working sometime between 1500-0700 hours on various shifts... I’m hoping I don’t vaporize into a cloud of ash when I see the sun.Last midnight (Thursday morning) was my LAST MIDNIGHT shift.
I tried day shift back in 2009. Lasted 4 weeks. The problem wasn't the hours, it was the people.I start day shift on 1/10. Seventeen years of working sometime between 1500-0700 hours on various shifts... I’m hoping I don’t vaporize into a cloud of ash when I see the sun.
I have to ask, when you say people was it the criminals or the Police? I ask this because in a lot 24 hour organizations in the USAF I was around like Aircraft Maintenance and Security Forces (AKA Air Force Cops) there were guys who never wanted to work days. Too much brass, too much BS during the day. Swings and Mid-shift? Do your job with minimal hassle.I tried day shift back in 2009. Lasted 4 weeks. The problem wasn't the hours, it was the people.

That’s my fear as well because I’m kind of spoiled by the atmosphere I have at night currently. But, you know my little microcosm isn’t that bad so I should be in pretty good shape. Here’s hoping I feel like a regular person again and not on the continual verge of losing my wife and kids.I tried day shift back in 2009. Lasted 4 weeks.
