I am so sad to hear this news. CM was kind to me and always eager to help me with my 1911 questions.
    He will be missed.

Just another reminder that we live in an imperfect world.

"We know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, and eternal house in heaven..." 2 Cor. 5:1

I feel sad, that I've never had the chance to meet him, Is there a place to find out a little about him? Seems like his life or his obit should be on here...My only interaction with him was being banned by him, and then after begging, and asking, he unbanned me....These tributes make me wish I'd met him...God speed CM..

I started to answer your question several times but found the words insufficient.

As the news settles, I hope INGOers can continue to share their stories and photographs of Churchmouse here. I am sure Cindy and his family will enjoy seeing this thread in time.

Someone will post obit and such as it becomes available.

I feel like I need to go home and mag dump the .45's tonight in Tim's honor.
An INGO meetup at MCFG, everybody lined up shoulder to shoulder on the main line, lock and load eight, and a Knob-Creek style "Ready on the Left, Ready on the Right" moment you could hear from his house, would seem a fitting tribute.

Shared this in the CZickness thread:

"I got to meet up with him at least once a year on mule runs through Indy. He always organized the Indy ammo donations so I didn't have to run all over town. Last time we met up was before covid shut down the NWI Youth Shoot.

He said he was at peace with it this round because he didn't think he'd be here this long and was basically on borrowed time.

If I knew that was our last face to face meeting, I'd have stretched it out for another hour or so... then a cheeseburger... ;) Always a straight shooter, always knowledgeable or receptive to new, and online genuinely caring. By genuinely online caring, he would ask how person x,y,z was doing by name and/or screen name. Going to miss the communications and that truck rolling up with a big 'ol smile on his face with a handshake."

My deepest sympathies. Heaven got a good one today. Screenshot_20220831-170550_Samsung Internet.jpg

Rest easy Tim , INGO lost a piece of it's foundation today. This news legitimately saddens me, he will be missed by myself and many many others on this forum for a long time.
It's funny you say that because he wasn't one of the old timers. He came in like a whirlwind, and things started changing immediately. Because of his persona, which wasn't an internet only persona, this forum made huge improvements almost over night. Nobody will be able to fill his shoes, but hopefully his memory will keep this forum on the right path.

Rest easy churchmouse, you did a great job.

I never had the privilege of meeting Churchmouse in real life. My interactions with him through INGO however created a vision of an exceptional human being.

For a man I never had the privilege to meet in person, learning of his passing suddenly caused the room to get very dusty.

Godspeed to you Churchmouse, and prayers for your family, I have little doubt you are already watching over CKW and the terrorists vowing to protect them from harm.
