Hello everyone, I just bought a S&W 64-8 (4 inch barrel). Pics are attached.

As this is my first revolver (I own several semi autos, nearly all of which have been modified in one way or another) I was wondering if the indianagunowners community has some advice on how to improve the sights or the sight picture on these 64s. Thanks in advance.

I don't know that there's much you can do with the rear sight, but you could always put a little hi-viz paint on the front sight blade.
This. I love my M64, but the sights do leave a bit to be desired. That being said, she's the best shooter of any revolver I have ever had, and I've had more than a few.

Thanks everyone for the quick and informative responses, much appreciated. I am going to buy some nail polish in the recommended asap (which is, admittedly, a comment I never thought I’d make on this or any other forum).

I watched a youtube video recently that showed a guy spending hours putting tape on his front sight and barrel to put a little fingernail polish on his front sight. Do not do this. I like red fingernail polish but one gun has whiteout on it.

    It isn't permanent...Easily changed

Nail polish is also easily removed with nail polish remover. Are you single? :):

Try Bosshoss Revolver Works. He’s here on INGO. Not sure if it’s worth the cost but As an example Clynder and Slide and most others can install a Dovetailed Sight in a K frame. There are some others as well but here is their examples

My M 64 shoots POA to POI better than any hand gun I own, it has original sights but did put a little orange craft paint on the front blade. Enjoy S&W revolvers are adictive.
