Picked up my first pair of bifocals today. Made it using reading glasses for the past 20 years. Put the bifocals on and could focus on stuff in the distance. This is the first time in several years I've had normal vision. Now I have to get used to wearing them all the time.
Please be careful when using stairs. :twocents:

Had to start wearing glasses back in 2012 due to a aggressive cataract.

Since then I have learn that they now have new lens when replace during surgery that they act like your normal eye lens. Had a friend who had the procedure done 2 years ago, been wearing glasses for the last 20 years, now no longer needs them. I'll check into this option if I ever have to do it again.

Mid 40's I could see the lights fading on anything up close. Reading schematics/tig welding/reading Calvin and Cline. You know, all the important stuff. Been sporting a set ever since.

After going to an eye doctor and being sold glasses that didn't work years ago, I've settled into the Fred Sanford method. I have store bought glasses for driving, working, reading, computer, close work and shooting. All of those sets work better and cost less than what I paid the quack.
