If you learn anything from the Rittenhouse trial, learn this: don't try to avoid jury duty.

Gotten a couple notices but never had to show up.

I get them every couple of years. Same thing every time. For the period of my jury duty, I don’t remember how many weeks that is.m, I call a number every week on Friday to see if you have to go to the courthouse on Monday. Every Friday the recording says I don’t have to go. That’s been the pattern for 13 years. Never had to go down to the courthouse. Here, anyway.

I was on a jury back when I lived in ft wayne maybe 25 years ago. And then a couple of years later I was dismissed from the jury because of my occupation. They thought as an engineer I’d be too exact. I mean, have they never heard of tolerances?

That’s okay though, I think of them just as stereotypically. They all overbill.

Magnifying glass? Like a real one? That’s a kind of boomer thing to do isn’t it? I mean you could just expand the image.

The “incorrect” quote is a prediction as much as anything. It foretells the result. The actual quote is preferable, but mostly for the sake of accuracy.

Oh great - now I can't get the image out of my mind of somebody peering at their screen with a real magnifying glass.

Everybody knows you just have to buy a bigger monitor.

We always had to call every morning to see if you go to the courthouse or go to work.
