Here's why I won't buy an electric vehicle unless forced to:

Not to mention disposal of the batteries is also problematic:

But sure Biden, mandate that we move away from fossil fuels...

You cannot let truth get in the way of the control agenda.

That's the worst of this hypocrisy IMO, the fact that the solutions pushed are as bad or worse than the low cost solutions already in place...

The "solutions" are often driven by who stands to profit the most from the law they are buying. Big media gives cover to those who camouflage their self interest with the moral cloak of "environmentalism".

    Always follow the money
True, the fact that on day one we closed pipelines and encouraged pipelines in Russia and put a moratorium on rare earth mining (that electric vehicles depend on) that the Chinese are now dominating is putting money in somebody's pockets (paging Hunter B and the big guy).

Typical leftist ********, their thought process ends about an inch in front of their noses. Tell them they can virtue signal about something and they're off to the races completely ignoring reality. Once that die has been cast there is no introducing them to the truth unless reality shows up to bite them in the ass. Fortunately for our special breed of liberal morons in this country, they get to ignore all kinds of consequences for their shallow, meaningless lives because the consequences are paid by others in other parts of the planet.

A big point missing in this post is the complete ignorance of the masses. They were born in a bubble, raised in a bubble, and now live in a bubble. These masses have never had to create energy for warmth nor food for survival. Their entire lives have been lived in bubbles of plenty. That have no idea what happens in the real raw world…

Which is exactly why I've always said that things aren't going to improve until people start going hungry. No one really gives a **** when they're warm and have a full belly. The good news is that Biden and his ilk pushed the throttle to the floor on the insanity so we're going to get there much sooner than I had originally thought.

Tesla model S biggest battery stores the energy equivalent of about 2.5 gallons of gasoline

It uses that energy 3x more efficiently, but it is still like buying a comparable sedan with a 7.5 gallon fuel tank and a restriction on tank refill rate to 1.25 gallons per hour

This^^^. The infrastructure for fossil fuels are already widely distributed and privately held. Completely re-doing that infrastructure allows greater opportunity for a small, connected cadre to own and control a greater part of the transportation infrastructure and have you pay for it

Yeah this is a fundamental problem with today's battery technology that makes me scratch my head as to why electric cars are pushed as much as they are.

I like the concept, since it's easy enough to generate power at home. It's a little more difficult to find an oil well, and refine it into useable gasoline. So for independence it's pretty cool

But the batteries of today just aren't there yet, and won't be truly viable until we advance past lithium technology.

All these "green" people dont realize the nickel that was dug up is awful for the enviroment. China did more polluting making the batteries than a regular car in the states ever would...

We are always going to have some effect on the enviroment whatever we choose but these boneheads really think they are making a difference.....
