Yes, a stamp is required, it makes the pistol an AOW, which requires a stamp.

Yup, that VFG would require you to pay the $200 to make it an AOW. No way that'd be worth it, and kinda hard to deploy as a duty weapon

To your point: You can't put a forward grip on a handgun. You have to pay $200 for the stamp to make an AOW.

Hell, even if it was legal to do, you couldn't pay me to put my hand so close to the muzzle on that FAB grip. No way no how man.

my duty gun was the 22 and I had the slip on grip and I loved it!!!!

You could also try several pieces of a bicycle innertube cut into 1/2" wide strips wrapped around the grip. I did it with my AR and it works very well.

The bicycle innertube works good. I make mine 1 piece instead if cutting into strips.
