I'm wondering how leadership will react to a no or really low gas condition, get involved with the distribution to make sure it goes where they think it should, price controls, rationing, etc. I remember back in the 70s, big city mayors insisting on a guaranteed supply to make sure city services like police, DPW and fire had enough, and the squabbling that occurred over that.
I hope it will not come to pass, but I could see this current bunch letting Police, Fire and Ambulance services be hindered, or not running at all. Anyone that will kill a baby after it leaves the womb, and fights for that, anyone who puts covid patients in nursing homes, and 1000 other wicked things, would be capable of shutting down protective services. At the same time they will fund the blm, antifa thugs to plunder like pirates.

So I’ve got my “issues” that I vote on. 2nd amendment, freedom, anti war ect but if my chosen party got completely in power and then put policy’s in place that hurt my wages, raised my taxes and made the costs of goods I need to survive go up……..

I don’t think I’d vote straight ticket anymore.

Guess you don’t worry about stuff like that when you got the game rigged

The ironic part is that the ones most likely to vote democrat are the ones most likely to be hurt by the current state of affairs. As well they should be. It's unfortunate that the rest of us have to suffer as well. But then again, the goal of socialism/communism is that everyone suffers equally. Instead of lifting people up, they want to drag people down to their level.

They will do what the government always does: Break things even worse by "trying to help".

During his time chasing his junk around the oval office, william jefferson clintion signed numerous executive orders. The ones about procedures during an emergency in the country was the ability for the Feds to confiscate all energy sources, public and private. One of them is to legally confiscate all food, public and private, including penalty for storing too much food for private use.

The even scarier one in that series is the ability to control all labor. There are no limitations on that order. Some suggest the Feds could move you around. An example: say you are an electrician and your wife is a nurse. You could both get recruited and shipped away to 2 different areas to work for the government.

What would that cost? What is the life expectancy of the panels? How would this all break down financially? I cannot imagine it would be cheaper than buyi the power from the utility…
Well, there's a problem a lot of people fail to take into account.
    Solar panels age.
And produce less as they age.

But for some reason, probably because there is no moving parts, they assume they last forever.

I just had a meeting with my financial advisors and have a question how Sta-Bil my investment is.

So I filled everything up a 100+ plus days ago in anticipation of Putin's actions creating an inability to get any gasoline regardless of price. Normally I just rotate through and fill up my truck every 6-8 weeks and then put fresh gas in the cans.

With soaring gas prices and the fact that I put higher priced ethanol free in the cans if I need it for the generator I have a dilemma.
    1. Add Sta-Bil to my 3+ month old gas?
    2. Rotate gas through truck and refill cans at extra high prices?
    3. Rotate gas through truck and refill cans and add Sta-Bil making each can even more expensive?
    4. Tough it out for the summer and hope prices come down in a couple months and the gas does not go stale?

At least after looking at my 401(k) I can walk out to the garage and know that at least one thing I own has went up in value.

Dump cans in truck, buy ethanol free gas for cans to replace it for longer storage, then put stabil in it.

Fear not, peasants. Our great leader has invoked the Defense Production Act to get domestic solar panel production really kickin. This will surely fulfill all our energy needs going forward...

President Biden Invokes Defense Production Act to Accelerate Domestic Manufacturing of Clean Energy
I laugh, because it was the democrats who cut off the imported panels to start with. They wanted more panels produced in the USA,but could not compete with the price(they did not make enough money investing in US production)so banned the imports. The ban was for "dumping cheap solar panels onto the US market" lol

Now Biden just flipped the "green" democrat investors the bird and is allowing the import of cheap panels again. This really is clown world.

Good news if you are looking to add solar though. Prices will fall.

Side note. Looks like our oil and refined product exports are not the only energy exports that are setting records. Coal exports are way up and so is the price at around $109 a ton(meaning your power bill to). Expect 2022 to set a new record for coal exports as well(we will not see by how much until this quarter is over).
