He worked for decades to manufacture crisis that he then convinced the Republic to give up their freedoms for the promise of “safety”. All the while he was working behind the scenes to rig the system in his favor.

It’s crazy to see the parallels to current politics.

Don't forget though, it's not just "safety" they want to force upon the Republic. It is "Order" as well.
That sounds dangerous and SO parallel to current news trends.
