I don’t even pretend to know what this means but some are calling it a “poison pill” ploy to fend off Elon.

“Twitter, $TWTR announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously adopted a limited duration shareholder rights plan (the "Rights Plan").

The Rights Plan is intended to enable all shareholders to realize the full value of their investment in Twitter.”

The company I work for was purchased by a private entity a few years ago. They made an offer. The board rejected. They then contacted all of the share holders about the offer. The shareholders pushed it through.

Agree with this 100% .........Quite a bit more alarming than a new Twitter owner .
We can all do without Twitter ......Farmland , Not so Much .

The post you quoted is why I don't do Tweeter or Face****. Talk about disinformation! Bill Gates owns a tiny fraction of 1% of the total farmland.

Same with China. Gates and China together own a tiny fraction of 1% of the total farmland.

I don`t do twitter or FB either ........post from another social media site .
Not sure the disinformation part ........ Would you have taken it differently if it said "Bill Gates buying up a Lot of the Farmland "
I don`t know what % of the farmland Gates holds ........but he is the largest private owner in the US . ( +- 270,000 acres )
My point was someone like him could have a greater negative impact on our country as a whole vs twitter control .
Most of us know what radical intentions Gates has for our food supply .
I would guess that 1% of the food grown on Farmland feeds a lot of people in the world......and could be a concerning issue .

And your post is hurtful to the conservative cause battling the leftists. I’m sure you are scratching your head saying wth, “what I said was true”. It is but we are in a culture war with the left and truth is a causality.

Do you think anyone on the left corrects leftist statements like you did this? Nope! They post some dopey meme about guns, we on INGO guffaw about it, ridicule it for being wrong, but the middling members of our society eat it up, so it was a lie, but it worked.

Bill Gates and China own an alarming portion of our food lands, production, processing, and distribution. If you have watched the video I constantly repost, “monopoly, follow the money”, you will understand that the left has figured out how to leverage small amounts to control exponentially more than they own.

It was not a scientific dissertation, it was a ****ing tweet, that makes a point that is correct.

So should we mark you down as good with 100 people owning all the farmland?

    So:
    1. Bill Gates is buy farmland, because he has to invest more somewhere, and real estate seems like a good choice.
    2. The conspirati sees this and start blasting out memes with a kernel of truth in order to gin up more hatred and bolster their "great reset" cries, all while deflecting criticism of Musk.
    3. Someone posts it on INGO.
    4. Someone else on INGO says, "Ah, let's look at the numbers..."
    5. You then, and I'm paraphrasing, say, "We can't be bothered with truth, this is a culture war!" and "I saw this video that explains it all."

    Did I summarize this right?

I guess if I had a billizion dollars, I'd put into to potato farming - Americans love fries more than Twitter.

It's never correct when it makes absolutes (eg "all the farmland").

So, you make Bill Gates sound like a regular guy buying farmland, and not an on the record globalist that believes there are too many people on the planet and a significant portion need to be eliminated.

The meme is true you just don't want to get it. Let me explain it too you. ”Bill Gates buying up all the farmland” is referencing all the farmland he is buying, not all farmland which does not need the word “the”…

It`s does not take a "conspirati" to know what Bill Gates agenda is or to read Blasting Memes about him .
His agenda should hold great concern for us and our future . His message is very clear and is found spoken with his own words .
Does his power to change what we all eat not concern you at the least ?

If he really had an evil agenda to change what I eat, then he'd invest in grocery stores, not farm land.

Bill Gates buying farmland when he’s pushing synthetic meat is the “holier than thou” equivalent of Barack Obama buying multi-million dollar real estate on the coastline when he clutches his pearls about global warming and the melting of the ice caps.

It’s all about money and power. Don’t do as I do, do as I say, I’m better than you. Private property ownership is bad - unless I do it.

First of all, I want to be clear: I wasn't calling you out for posting a meme. I get it - it's a meme. It's just that I see this particular nonsense posted all the time, and it's nonsense. The Gates, if what you read is true, own 227k out of 915 million farmland acres. That's .00024 percent of farmland, or 2.4 hundredths of one percent. So it's not a lot, nor is it all, or about to be all. They own a diverse group of holdings spread out amongst 18 states. Here's an interesting article about some of the Gates' acquisitions. I'm sure there are many more:
    https://www.agriculture.com/farm-ma...ates-is-about-to-change-the-way-amer-ca-farms

Put in perspective, there are timberland owners that own millions of acres.

Most important, I have no disagreement with you that powerful people with socialist ideas can be, and are, a danger to the US and our way of life. There is no one on INGO that is more conservative or hates the left any more than I. I see the leftist disinformation campaign just as clear as anyone, I just don't find it helpful to mimic their methods.

Also, I have no problem whatsoever with Musk buying up Twitter, if that comes to pass. From all indications, he can only make it better, cause it can't get much worse.

Appreciate your response ......Looks like we agree on some important topics . ( Hater here Too :) )
If I would have posted just those words ( Not in Meme form ) would anyone ( yourself included ) have taken it in a different light ?
We can agree to disagree I suppose with what I think Gates` intentions are ......and the companies he has an interest in also .
I still believe .........Gates is a bigger threat to my way of life ( as well as my children and grandchildren's ) than Musk will ever be .
    ( No Meme required )
