I'll be honest, I don't keep track of current events, didn't know much about the whole Occupy movement until today..... and at first glance I agree with it. What concerns me is this is just the kind of thing that could spark a nationwide, if not global SHTF situation....

What are your thoughts oh wise INGO members?

No. They are ass clowns with no agenda other than personal selfishness. They lack principles - railing against commercialism and then begging companies for free stuff to continue railing against them. They will go the way of the dodo bird in short order.

Reminds me of the 60's protests. I will always remember one nut case being interviewed on tv. She said she goes all out for a cause, doesn't matter what the cause is. Nothing has changed in over 40 years. Leftie whackos are the same. They think the world owes them a living and those who have become successful are the cause of their problems. Most of my working life I supervised employees. I can honestly say that every problem employee would blame others for their failure. They would never take the responsibilty for their shortcomings.

    Prediction:

Next year, as elections ramp up - so will the protests.

In states like Indiana and Ohio where Right To Work legislation is likely to get put on the front burner - you'll see unions come out and join the occupiers.

If the world economic situation begins to implode - you'll see the occupiers and unions join forces to push our economy into a similar situation.

The left wing powers will be using this movement lock stock and barrel to further their political ambitions - and the media loves the occupy movement.

The occupy movement here in Bloomington is a joke. I work a block away at the university, and now see the same homeless blokes that were mooching off campus now "occupying" Peoples Park. The rest of them appear to have been bored, and leaching off the local handouts. It's covered in trash and smells like an outhouse.
I drove by the other night and a 40 something year old women was swinging a hulu hoop around her waist and belly dancing with bells on her pants hem and shirt cuffs. Not really sure what I was supposed to take from that? Give her my money, so she can sit on her ass and play? Don't think so. I'm a Libertarian, and as fed up with the Fed and Wal-Street cronies as anyone, but I don't see partying at the hobo camp as much of a solution.

Some of the unions are already involved. Also, did you forget about Obama's good buddies? (Bill Ayres & George Soros, etc.) (There is another one I wanted to mention, but my "old timers" kicked in and I forgot his name. :xmad: He once worked for Obama but was "removed" because of his 9/11 conspiracy beliefs)

Anyway, there are several people who want the Occupy thing to turn violent. Maybe not just yet - maybe closer to election time, for the Occupiers to become truely useful to them. (Martial Law, anyone?)
The Occupiers are being funded by lots of "monied" people/groups for a purpose.

Yes, there are some who believe in what they are doing, others are there for the sex & drugs, others are being paid to be there. If it brings down the banks, so much the better. (I don't think it will - could be wrong.)

Most of them are just "useful idiots", and will be disappointed when they find out the truth.

I don't think half of them have a clue why they are there. I think its become a big joke and worthless. But on the other hand wish I had time to go make an idiot of my self for no reason and find some one to support me while I do it

I dont think the orginal intent was to create a powder key. However I think the political party currently sitting in the white house is trying to take advantage of it, and may be trying to create one. Thus the involvement of the unions, and support form the communist party among just a few.

Most of them know why they are - it just happens to be completely different reasons why the people on either side of them are there. Except for the homeless people - they are all there for the free grub.

It's like trying to hold the Confederacy together when it was founded on state's rights. The very reasons they are there prevent them from having coherent goals. Once someone comes out with a sensible statement, everyone else doesn't agree and complains about being oppressed by "the man."

I believe you're speaking of Van Jones. All should be paying attention to this "Occupy" movement.

The sad part is, in 20 years some college textbook will be printed about them all. Like it was some big deal...
