My wife worked on the kid all last night at Riley, going to be OK, she was commenting on the amount of damage done as the bullet hit bone in the first leg and proceeded to the second leg. He's very lucky to be alive!

Are they going to be able to save that leg? Used to be when a bone was shattered like that, the leg often was amputated.

There are millions of definitions for "assault weapon". "Assault rifle" is a pretty well defined term, consisting of select or auto fire capability.
Main Entry: assault rifle Function:noun Date:1972 : any of various automatic or semiautomatic rifles with large capacity magazines designed for military use

thats from webster. not saying i agree or disagree with it, just that there is no consensus on what constitutes an assault rifle.

Good thing hes going to be ok; good on your wife :yesway: When high velocity projectiles strike bone they turn bone into shrapnel. They should shoot that skum in the legs with a 7.62X39 :twocents:

7.62x39? they should up the ante. 40mm.
