I have a question that those of you familiar with Browning HIGH Powers may be able to answer for me. I have a chance to buy a HP with serial number beginning with 76C. I believe that this indicates the production year was 1976. I also believe that this would mean that the gun was manufactured and assembled in Belgium. The question is, are these assumptions correct concerning this gun? The next question is how rare/uncommon would a nickle plated BHP with target sights be? Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe the chart confirms the production date of 1976. Thanks for the info PAPA SCOUT. That only leaves verifying if the gun was originally factory produced as a nickel gun and did it have target sights originally. Those things may be the toughest to verify.
