They can't legally vote. But because the courts ruled that they have to be counted on consensus, they count for how many representatives the states they live in get. Sanctuary cities and states are giving those states more representation in congress and electoral votes than they should have. How many electoral votes would California have if they had no illegal immigrants? But that conversation triggers the progressives.

Regardless of all the other arguments, a country cannot have open borders AND a generous social welfare system. That seems self-evident to me (but so does the stupidity of "Defund the Police", "Healthy at Any Weight" and so many other popular ideas".

True enough, but to me the true cause of our open borders is that those running both parties want it that way and have for a long time. If the government had the will our border could be locked down very quickly. Things may be moving now but only after we've reached a crisis.

10 million? have crossed the border under Biden, most of them age 15-30. Within 5 years, most of them will have a child born here, and we'll be unable to deport them.
In 25 years, we will have 10 million plus citizen voters, born into our own poverty by virtue of their uneducated parents who crossed illegally and have been sucking up welfare and other social benefits, and able to control political districts like the Somalis in Minnesota.
