I wish I had the time to go back through the covid, mask, and vaccine threads and quote all the d***heads that were so wrong all throughout this ordeal.
I did notice many quit posting. Seems self destructive to navigate life being a Yes Man and whine to others to just comply. I really hope this doesn't turn out as bad as I think it might. I have friends and family going through some very rough times from vaccine induced serious problems.

One positive thing is everyone as individuals, businesses, and States have mostly delineated themselves for who they are, completely exposed. Makes my travels and businesses dealings much easier for where to go and who gets the money. I've learned a lot more about friends and family I would have not necessarily known otherwise. Somewhat odd that a couple years ago none of these goofy mandates existed, and some States, businesses and individuals don't want to give it up.

Also helped me develop a network of local food producers and butchers to have a good business relationship with.

Well, I was one who supported masking early on as a personal measure people could take. Not mandates, but the idea of masking as they presented it sounded plausible up until it became obvious that the virus is spread just as easily through aerosolized particles as through droplets. That being the case, masks are pretty much useless.

A good P100 mask that is well fitted would stop aerosol virions but nobody cared about that. The toy masks that everybody was wearing just didn't cut it.

Seeing the videos of people getting yelled at by mask nazis wearing a thin polyester gaiter is entertaining. Especially when it keeps falling under her nose.
It is such a joke in some places. When I go to the clinic everybody has to wear one of those toy masks that isn't doing any good but is still required. They have to know better but the symbolism must be important to them.

I had to take my mother in law to a couple of specialists. They required masks, but we didn't wear them, and they didn't say anything. She's hard of hearing so the doctor asked if it would be easier to hear if she took her mask off. I got the feeling she mostly just happy to take her mask off.

There are true believers out there. The plant where i work dropped their mask mandates months ago, yet there are some people in there still wearing them…and it’s HOT and miserable in there during the summer.

The offices around here that require them still have people at the entrances that “screen” people on the way in. If you’re not wearing one, they insist that you take one and wear it.

The great part of that is that they're making themselves miserable. I find that a bit amusing... :):

I'm getting really, really tired of that garbage. Back before all this stupidity, the only time you had to mask when going to the Doctor or to the hospital was when you thought you were sick. Now they make you wear one all the time, which is just dumb. The reputation of the medical industry has taken a huge hit and it'll stay that way until they stop playing partisan games.

Agreed. I mentioned in a post sometime back one of my greatest eye openers the last couple of years has been just how inept the medical professionals are at reading and interpreting data and how tightly they cling to fads.

The language I've heard lately is heart attack for males and ovarian cancers for females. I'm not going to list examples I come across frequently, but I could. It's been really quite morbidly extraordinary. I don't like any of it and have grave concerns for family and friends. We are just at that point in history now.

I think at this point it will be very difficult to make the narrative and resulting control fit the reality of 2022. Guess we'll see what happens the remainder of the year with midterms and hopefully staying out of any big diversionary tactics like food shortages and military industrialization, etc., etc.

About the UK, but a lot of parallels to US life, especially given the way people talk, from rednecks in the woods to the ivory tower elites:

Recently discussed the article referenced in this video:

To which a fellow young person said "that's a good point" in that she liked the political identification via mask usage, even knowing that they aren't so useful, all things considered. Mind blowing to me.
