Great addition to the series. Keep up the good work! I am really looking forward to the rail welding.

Me too but that is actually one of the later steps (and probably not until Sunday). I have to drill the trigger/hammer holes, spot heat treat, then drill/rivet front trunnions, and then weld rails. I need the front trunnion in place to know where to put the front of the rails exactly. I could use the calipers to do it like a 100% receiver but I'd rather have the measurements exact. I also need it to stop raining every afternoon.

I do have the tool to hold the rails (Ak-Builder) We'll have to try it at the next party. I can send you the tool to try? I really need to hook up with you about welding my rails. I have though about getting the HF welder and tips. But I would like to see you do it first. Anytime you want to hook up let me know. I'll see if I can make a trip your way. Not sure where you are?

Guess what? I have a new video up. I demill the long rivets on the rear AMD65 trunnion. The lair is a little dark, sorry. I'm still progressing, just a little slower due to work. I installed new lights today in the lair so future videos should be brighter.

If you check out the AK thread in the Long Guns section, you can see the Polish AK47 underfoler I helped TriggerTime put together yesterday. I shot this video right after the build so my work area is a mess.
