Right now AIM Surplus has 7.62x39 in stock. All they have is Wolf HP and FMJ but it is only 239.50 for 1000 rds. Just picked up 1000 FMJ and 2 Eastern European Mags for 284.08 shipped. I can't complain even if it is wolf. Everywhere I have seen is running 180 or so for 500.

Man, when steel cased AK ammo gets close to $250 for 1000 rounds, things have gotten as bad as the tinfoil hat guys feared. I bought the Wolf JHP for $180 per 100o from AIM just last summer.

At this point it seems that people are starting to not care as much if it is steel cased or not, they are just happy to find it!!

It's no big deal with AKs ... they're made to shoot it!

I was just referring to the increase in cost of what was once the cheapest of the non-surplus stuff. It was crazy before, and now it's just wrong. Paying more than $100 for a 1000 rounds of AK ammo is just plain wrong.

    I see what you mean.

One of the reasons I opted to get the ak was because of cost of ammo...I then realized that most places it is actually more than .223:tantrum::wallbash::smileak::bash:
