Right now AIM Surplus has 7.62x39 in stock. All they have is Wolf HP and FMJ but it is only 239.50 for 1000 rds. Just picked up 1000 FMJ and 2 Eastern European Mags for 284.08 shipped. I can't complain even if it is wolf. Everywhere I have seen is running 180 or so for 500.
Man, when steel cased AK ammo gets close to $250 for 1000 rounds, things have gotten as bad as the tinfoil hat guys feared. I bought the Wolf JHP for $180 per 100o from AIM just last summer.

It's no big deal with AKs ... they're made to shoot it!
I was just referring to the increase in cost of what was once the cheapest of the non-surplus stuff. It was crazy before, and now it's just wrong. Paying more than $100 for a 1000 rounds of AK ammo is just plain wrong.
