Bersa Thunder & Beretta Bobcat .22LR w/4 brands ammo.

Only 15' at 1.75" circles with 100% using CCI Mini-Mags.

    Bersa Thunder .22LR w 4 brands ammo.
Only the CCI Mini-Mags cycled 100%.
Other brands shown had failure to Eject or to Fire.

    1st row CCI Mini-Mags 95%.
2nd row CCI Blazer, Aguila Super Extra & Federal Automatch
    3rd row CCI Mini-Mags again: 100%
    Range 01.30.2023 Bersa Thunder & Beretta Bobcat 15ft x4 ammo brands.jpg
Looks like 15' was too much for the Bobcat, haha!
4th row with Beretta Bobcat with 3 brands ammo.
    CCI Mini-Mags work fine (1st & 4th circles).
The Blazer & Federal AutoMatch didn't cycle with failure to load.

I used some ammo I bought from a member last week:
    - Federal Value Pack
    - 36 grain
    - copper coated HP
    - 1260 FPS
Not as good as AutoMatch perhaps, but good enough for practice.
Out of 160 rounds today there were 4 stovepipes & a couple of FTLs.
The only FTFire I had, did so when I ran it through again.
    Decent ammo for the money.
Even Mr. Finicky, the Bersa Thunder did good with it.

Shot Zack's Taurus TX which is on the middle & bottom.
Challenging it was my TX Competition on top.
I didn't mean to fire the regular TX at 30' since it has no optic.
Since my TX Competition has a Bushnell red dot I fired it at 30' & for fun at 21'.
I was not impressed with it's performance at all.
I do better with a scope than with a red dot, since I can't see where my shots are hitting w/o getting out the binos.
Range 2.08.2023 Zack TX & my TX Compitition.jpg

I started out at 15' for the sake of the Ruger LCP 2
    &
forgot to move it up to 21' for the Kel-Tec P17 & Zack's Taurus TX, haha!
When I was shooting my TX Competition at 21' my POA was centered but POI was 2-3" low,
since I have it set for 30'.
I thought the Kel-Tec P17 won the day with its group!
    range 02.08.2023 Zack & my .22LRs.jpg

Using the Ruger LCP 2 at 15' shooting at a 3/4" circle that I'd used initially with a Browning (ignore Browning name).
Really just a function check since the last time I used it, there was a problem extracting spent shells.
Zack had me drop it off at the house & he cleaned the extractor & it had no issues today!
Zack got it working again.
Not the first time, nor the last, I'm sure!

I bought a RUGER 22/45 tactical , put a cheap red dot on it and at 30 yards I consistently hit a 2 inch steel circle. For me and my shooting , I was pretty happy. PS I am no competition shooter so I dont know how good it is really , but I am impressed , LOL

With a red dot, I do 1.75" circles at 30', so it sounds good for a Ruger 22/45 Tactical.
If you're doing that free-handed, way over my pay grade, haha!

I am just a plinker but I did that standing up free style , just got out of jeep and set up a spinner style setup and I measured it with a range finder , it was absolutely no big deal. I am 69yrs old . I ended up trading it for a T/C CONTENDER.

    :wow:
Better than I could do on a good day, haha!
If that's a .22 barrel contender, that would be cool.

You are a far better shot than the vast majority of the handgun shooters I have seen in all the ranges I have ever shot at. Most of the "shooters" at the range I frequent at can't do that at 7 yards. Exceptionally good shooting!

I am surprised to hear you say that. This might be the reason though, under the barrel is a light rail, I put on a forward grip on the light rail for stability on the 22-45 ruger tactical. Maybe this is the reason?

No matter how you are gripping it , consistently hitting a 2" steel plate or target at 30 yards free handed is far above average pistol shooting.

The mark series pistols from Ruger have always shot really good, and the Ruger Wanger for the price is also a really nice chose for 22 plinking

Today I shot Zachcz's Taurus TX Compact.
Used 3 different brands of ammo:
    - Federal Value Pack
    - CCI Mini-Mags
    - Federal AutoMatch
    0/230 rounds failed.
Flawless with no issues at all.
    Surprising with .22LR.

There was an inexpensive red dot on it.
I found the Compact to be inconsistent, I was not happy with it.

I shot 90 rds on a practice target trying to adjust the red dot.
I could not get it to dial down to a consistent decent group.
My more accurate .22LR guns can do 100% on a row, or at least 90% consistently.
I thought that it was ironic that the Federal Value Pack performed better at 70%, but still only 70%.
    1.75" circles at 30'.

Both Federal brands did the same with the CCI Mini-Mags trailing behind.

I had my Taurus TX Competition with me to shoot, but I ran out of time since I wanted to keep seeing if I could improve my accuracy with the Compact.
Here are previous targets showing how it did better than the TX Compact today.

The base the red dot is mounted to looks warped in the photo too.
    Yes, good catch!
That is my TX Competition, being shown with its targets, not Zackcz's Compact targets.
You're right, it was a bad base, not being metal but a composite material, that did warp & I had to order an aluminum one.

The compact is as accurate as any 22. The red dot sucked it appeared.
I would not agree it is "as accurate" & the regular TX 4" & it seemed to do better than the TX Compact.

These are some targets using my regular TX 4".

Picked up a Browning Buckmark Standard NS URX ULTRAGRIP RX PRO TARGET, 5.5" Bull barrel with Browning reflex sight here on INGO last Saturday.
Paid $450 even though I could have bought this model new at Rural King on sale now for
    $418 OTD ($380 + tax/$27 + transfer to pick up at a Rural King/$12).

What pushed me over the top in better value:
    - already set up with picatinny rail
    - came with Browning reflex sight
    - Tandemkross "Gearbox" (trigger spring in a "cage" for easy installation)
    - Volquartsen extractor installed (& spare included)

I have a 10" Buckmark with scope & wanted a smaller Browning with a red dot.
It is my 4 Browning in the safe now.
I've had probably 8-9 Browning Buckmarks total.
I have found Buckmarks to be a tad more accurate & consistent for me than "the others," like the Ruger Mark 4,
SW Victory, all the 1911-22LR clones, Glock & Sig & Walther .22LR. & more.

The literal red dot on the red circle was nearly undiscernible for my eyes, which could explain why I couldn't get 100% on at least one of the rows. :dunno:

We will see how my Buckmark Vision & "Silver" compare with this Pro Target.
After testing them against each other, I will sell 1 or 2, but no hurry.
I'm really enjoying the Buckmarks & will keep at least 2 of them, my 10" & one of the other 3.

Took me 55 rds to sight in the red dot.
    Shot 210 rds total.
All rds at 10 yds/30' which is distance I use with red dots, instead of the 7 yds/21' I use with iron sights.

Rows 1-3: CCI SV on these 1.75" circles.
Row 4: I used Federal AutoMatch.
    Range 02.27.2023 1st range day w2 ammo brands 1.75in circles.jpg

Used 4 different brands on this target.
    Red oblong circles 1.75" x 2.75".
I forgot to use some CCI Blazers I brought & didn't bother with the Aguila SE on this target since they weren't cycling proper (seemed a hair "bigger," perhaps too "waxy?"
Aguila rds were "dragging" in the magazine & I had FTE x3 & FTL x2 out of 25 rds.
Never had an issue with Aguila SE before???
0 issues from the other 4 brands.

The Browning seems to be a contender, However we really need some graphs and pie charts to make a final determination.
