Got this one this evening. Walked off 85 paces from the front door.

This rain may get the beans a goin.
    Some places doing well.
    Figure 2 weeks left maybe.
the beans will get tall enough to hide those feeding but I'm hoping to whistle a time or two to get them to stand up. Most if my hunting is done along the creek that travel through our property and the farmers keep their "filter strips" mowed short enough I can still see them.

I shot 2 this last week. One had a lot of blood near its hole but no carcass and the other I know I hit but it ran into the taller weeds and I couldn't find a body so I'll keep watching both of those areas just in case I didn't kill them.

Got this little guy in the wife's garden tonight. She's been losing a lot of greens from the garden and told to start getting rid of the rabbits. I'm thinking the rabbits haven't been the problem as our garden is fenced. I've seen groundhogs climb trees and wooden fence posts before.

Farm where I hunt deer is all soybeans this season, whistle pigs everywhere. Bought a .22 and declared war. I'm at 4 confirmed and pretty sure I hit a couple more. Engaging anywhere from 120 yards to just standing 15 yards away playing wack-a-mole, haha. Crawling around in the fields or just resting rifle across my truck hood. Didn't know you could have this much fun hunting giant rodents. All with a 1935 Remington model 34 with a 1949 Mossberg scope :)

I swear the whistle pigs wait till I'm gone a few days & invade... This is #3 of the under porch invaders. Anyone else use tech to ease the hunt? I stuck an el-cheapo wireless motion detector outside the hole, bell rings & 1 min later I'm looking through a scope. Minimag hp took this one 0613231730.jpg

I know nothing about hunting groundhogs. Where to start?

Somewhere outside of city limits LOL

Most farmers would deeply appreciate the elimination of any and all groundhogs from their proper as they very destructive critters. I've killed them with various caliber rifles from .22LR to .300 WinMag. The .300 WinMag was in my hands when I saw it so that it what I shot it with.
