I don't use a pellet smoker, so correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the temp swing give more smoke? It's my understanding that you can cook just fine without temp swings, but you wont have as much smoke. Some controllers like the Grilla Grills Alpha controller are designed specifically to give broad temp swings to make more smoke. What is it about the temp swing that you don't like?Curious if anyone has used a smoke daddy pellet pro digital pid controller?
Thinking of installing one on my Traeger pro 22 I'm sick of the 70+ temp swings and the fire going out sometimes. I wish I knew about Recteq before I bought my Traeger my uncle's Recteq swings about 3 degrees max.
