I guess I must have missed something, but Blind Horse closed their door last year. L.T. is now LT Wright knives and Mike is Battle Horse Knives. Blind Horse Knives are much sought after now, especially the one offs. Both men have taken some of the BHK caches with them.
Sure wish I'd bought one of those when Michael was charging $65. Have you seen what one of those is getting on eBay recently. Kinda sucks the oxygen outta the room.
I love knives. I have way, way more knives then anyone could rationalize. As for those 12 step programs; I've never gotten past Step 1: Stop looking at knives. Seems kinda extreme.
The guys at K&G are kind of a hoot. I'm not sure if a full moon has anything to do with it, though. A few years ago when ammo was almost as expensive as the firearm, they were very sincere in apologizing for having to charge me as much as they did for a couple of boxes of .45. I've never...
I'd like to add yet more encouragement to shoot them before you buy. If you can't rent, I hope there are some members who would volunteer to let you try theirs. I've have picked up a couple of pistols, thoroughly convinced that having read other folks opinions I knew what would work for me. That...
A lot of folks have gone thru "The Search". Lots of different criteria, prices, etc. I had a few false starts along the way until I came across the Kahr CM9. And while nobody has suggested it, I believe it does cover your shopping list. While I did not set a price I wanted something small enough...
Just about what everybody has said so far. But sometimes it just boils down to chemistry - the kind that makes you skip a breath. As you said, though, 420 steel. I do not think I'm a steel snob, so I'll just say, that is a right smart amount of money for 420 anything. I've learned my lesson . ...
Going along with Chezuki, for me Spyderco has an identity problem; they all look alike. However, that Sytderco is good looking. I'd probably look for a reason to take that one out when folks are around.
Another answer to an unasked question. I've had my 9mm for years now, $130, and it is still a lot of fun. And yes, I do get a few requests to bring it along.
Not going into a Taurus thing - but the therapy has been helpful. So, reinvented the curb feelers; omg did I just date myself? Got the new light behind the dial on the radio. Not to mention new handlebars. Obviously used the entire QC budget!
No redeeming social value!:twocents: I'm thinking this is so flogging something dead, but hey, I've got time today. I can't remember how many .380s I went thru looking for The Solution, only to figure - for me - it sure wasn't the answer. I think a lot of us have done the same looking for that...
