Back in the 1980s I worked in a gun store. I test fired all used handguns myself. Usually one full box of ammo. Having test fired many hundreds of handguns, although this was a long time ago, Taurus guns seemed to function as reliable as most others. The guns that functioned poorly, were the...
I have an NAA revolver that I carry about 1/2 the time. Depends on where I am at or where I am going. I have shot at least 1000 rds thru this gun and it has always been 100 % reliable. Since you already own one, why not try some different grips on your gun. Much cheaper than buying another gun...
I had one of those, bought used, had little timing problem. Made trip to Greenfield, he retimed gun while I waited. That was a very long time ago. It was a huge revolver and weighed as much as most rifles.
I have traded, bought, sold guns for over 50 years. Sometimes with a gun store, dealers, private individuals, etc. Probably over 200 maybe 300 guns. I have gotten 4 or 5 problematic guns from private individuals that I lost money on, and /or was cheated. I have also gotten 4 or 5 problematic...
Several comments on P32. I have owned a P32 for 15 maybe 20 years. Several years ago I traded a Spyderco knife for several boxes of 32 auto ammo. Shot all of it, 100s of rounds, and gun function 100% perfect every round. I believe most of it was full metal jacket. I dont remember much of it...
I have a Kahr PM40 that I have owned for maybe 20 years. Sometimes It used to break the plastic magazine follower on the last round. After replacing 5 or 6 of them, I finally gave up and load my first round in magazine with a dummy snap cap. That way it doesnt slam the empty follower into the...
I am too old to hunt anymore so not interested in hunting rifles or shotguns. Have never been interested in antiques or military guns. So mostly interested in handguns.
I owned a Kahr PM40 about 20 years ago. Bought it used and functioned fine, except every once in a while it would crack the magazine follower on the last round fired. Kahr sent plastic magazine followers to me for free, but it was a problem that several other people also had.
About the reply on Jennings J-22. In the early 1980s, I worked in a gun store. We never sold the Jennings, but we sold 100's of the Raven 25 auto,s. It is kind of interesting that know one ever brought one back and said it did not function. A lot of men bought the gun and one box of ammo for...
I have owned several S&W J frames over the years. They have always been my favorite handgun. However, I have found they are much harder to shoot accurate than the K frames.
I own an RIA basic 1911 that I bought about 10, 12 years ago. Have shot probably close to 1000 rds thru it. It has never malfunctioned. Nothing fancy but always works.
