I added a hood lip mount and new antenna to the truck which improved the SWR values on 2m & 70cm but made them terrible on the GMRS/FRS range so I'm probably gonna add another radio eventually. Not sure if it's gonna be a dedicated GMRS unit or another ham rig(probably a DMR) unlocked or modified to include the GMRS frequencies.

Good morning all. Arc flash training starts in about an hour until noon. Then niece’s funeral service.
The pork butt came out great and it fell off the bone when I took it off the smoker.. so that’s ready! . who in their right mind schedules arc flash training on a Saturday morning right after working all night? It’s ok I have confined space training in a couple weeks for an all day Saturday so a 5 hour yawn fest will be easy

I had steel pears installed for a deck on Thursday.
The installer was telling me about when he was installing some at a plant. They had marked out where they wanted them and he drove 3 and the fourth one hit a power trunk and it's sparked about 3 inches.
