like the other posts a firmer grip can help, i have seen this on multiple occasions with people that have shot mainly long guns as they allow a more relaxed firing position. other than that try a box of new ammo or try to find something with a more powerful charge, im a diehard reloader but if...
hmmm.... i hadnt thought about buying a cheaper used frame thats still in good shape then adding some of their parts to improve it, i really like the idea of that since i planned on going with their carbon steel "classic" frame anyway
:rockwoot:
so I requested a catalog from Caspian Arms and I'm really liking their products as far as i can tell they seem to be really well machined. I'm interested in putting together a 1911 from parts, i would like to know if anyone has had any experience, good or bad, with Caspian products either...
i cant agree more with the above, i personally love 9mm for compacts, i've put quite a few rounds through mine and i love it but again i cant say what you should or shouldn't get, definitely get out there and shoot some stuff and figure out whats really right for you!!
hmmm where have i seen this political bs before... sounds a lot like years of Chicago political strong arming, these hypocrites want to make policies to get the people under their thumb but dont follow the policies themselves, theres no protecting the citizenry here and that is never their...
those things are nice, had one for years, durable and the steel is soft enough that you can hone it with a river rock if you need to sharpen it in the woods!
interesting, never would have guessed people preferred the cz over the 226, well i might have to look harder into that as well as the 9mm 1911. im also willing to go 45 if i can find a good 1911 that isnt going to cost an arm a leg and my firstborn.
excellent information and a good start to my search, good to have some brand names to look for, i neglected to mention that ive been making .75 musket balls for years so im familiar with the general technique, cant wait to do some more research and get one ordered, ive got a bag of clean brass...
its time to take the next step I'm afraid and start molding, I've got a luber I've used previously for fixing the bunged up lube rings of manufactured bullets but I'm curious where to get a good mold, i can always rework minor inconsistencies in the mold as my dad is a tool maker that spent 10...
Gander Mountain in Terre Haute has one, i wanna say they weren't asking much and its still leaking cosmolene, they said it was still in the original bag when they got it, nice gun for a nagant.
i had completely forgotten about the high power to be perfectly honest, but im getting pretty excited now that im reading up on it! im thinking i might get a classic high power first and then come up with a CZ 75 sp-01 to have a more modern option later! :D
yeah i had about the same reaction on what he said about the 92 but i thought i should play the devils advocate to get an honest opinion. i am definitely interested in steel frame, i just cant get on board with the composite, they just dont feel right, and you can ask the guy that referred me to...
i like taurus' 92 vs. the baretta just based on the quality of machining and my compact has the same trigger set up as the sigs and i like it but was told that i would be better off getting something other than the 92 because they are antiquated but i am still leaning that direction because...
