I have a few. Nothing fancy. Got them from watch gang. I'd like something fancy and expensive but I'm cheap.

Are these all quartz? Would really recommend Orient for a great automatic. My intro to watches was an Orient Ray II. I think they released a new Ray model not too long ago, but I could be mistaken.

If getting your first smart watch is there one I should stay away from? I don’t want one that has to be overly complicated. I have an iphone does that need I need the Apple Watch? That galaxy watch up thread is awesome looking

I know this reply is old, but would really recommend an Apple Watch if you have an iPhone. My AW is one of the two things keeping me from switching back to Android. Honestly, the AW SE 2 is a great deal and I would argue you don’t need more than that. But you don’t get things like ECG or always on display.

I owned an Orient. Had problems with the wrist pins pulling out and it gained 5 minutes a week.

This Citizen Eco-drive lately, mainly for backpacking/camping, cycling, canoeing, caving (thus the scratches) and other pursuits not suited to a pocket watch or phone.

Merkur Red Army Standard. (I was way too broke for a Seagull Aviator watch)

I got this on a visit to Hong Kong (along with way too many chest rigs for any sane person to own). Keeps time better than the Vostok Komadistrike i replaced it with.

The watch is based on a proposed standard issue watch for the Chinese red army that never got adopted.

Funnily enough the script on this watch is Traditional Chinese which is still used in HK and Taiwan but fell out of use in mainland China and Singapore.

For a $50 mehanical watch it works pretty well and is a solid compliment other combloc gear one might own.

This place has a high end repair shop that did minor work on a Brietling I have. They are a Brietling dealer and could
have sent it in but said there was no warranty for water if they did it. I do not believe they are a Rolex dealer but
most likely can work on them. As far as getting the parts I do not know.

Yes, this is a vintage Sub, Rolex wants to replace parts like the watch face and hands so it will be pretty like a new penny. Thats not what we want, I traveled the world with this watch.
My son wants it in it the condition that it is in now. with all of its scuffs and scrapes.
Plus it will kill the value tremendously.
