Go read a few pages back we have the red vs orange vs green vs yellow royal rumble already most on here seem to fall in the green and red camp. Me I will spend the extra couple dollars to get the orange and lifetime warranty

Edit to add: I started with ryobi and batteries died in an unreasonably short amount of time which led me to look into rigid with lifetime warranty even on batteries

And we used Milwaukee at work and the tools couldn’t withstand the punishment.

I have yet to use the warranty with rigid but everything is registered and won’t hesitate to do so when a battery starts to crap out which they inevitably will

Red - Milwaukee to me typical contractor tools lots of specialty tools
Green - ryobi cheap homeowner light duty has everything from flashlight to weedwacker
Yellow - dewault same as Milwaukee less popular less specialty
Orange - rigid same as the others less tools but seem to be trying to catch up little more expensive with lifetime warranty

Sears (Craftsman) didn't make much stuff that they sold. But they had a code in the stock number that told who actually made their stuff. Here is a list of those codes, although this list might be a little old.

I came from a DeWalt family, but now have Craftsman for most of my power tools. Everything except the drill works fine for general carpentry in the field in my experience. I actually prefer the Craftsman impactor to the DeWalt one, as it seems to have more torque and control. The only impactor I liked better was a 24v Kobalt.

Some other brands I've seen in the field are Makita, Hilti, and in one case someone had a Snap-On impactor.

I just bought an Ego electric mower. $600 bucks. I can tell you that 60 minute battery does not last 60 minutes. Cuts great. But barely gets through my .21 acre.

I was there last week. A sign posted in the Treasurer's office stated that they charge a service fee for using a credit card.
I do not remember the rate. You can also pay online. A fee is also charged.

What makes Milwaukee better for work and rigid for home just curious if there is reasoning or an observation you’ve made because I do see a TON of Milwaukee with the tradesmen. Probably so they can steal each others batteries lol
