I have a real struggle answering this question. I have mostly pondered it from the international refugee perspective but the principals are the same.

Why are able bodied men fleeing and not fighting for their freedom? I get refugees of women, children, and elderly, but able men should fight for their freedoms.

What are we doing? Bringing in refugees, created by murderous dictators, from every country in the world to bask in the freedom fought for by our founders? Are we allowing the concession of all lands to the evil except here?

This fleeing of oppressive governments, rather than fighting them, I fear, is further division that will lead to every increasing hostilities between the sides…
How do you fight when 70% of the population is against you? This isn't the 18th century. Actual fighting isn't going to happen, and then there was a lot of space to flee too and start over.

I test drove a Kia all-wheel drive EV6 last week; it was...fun. For me, I'm afraid that additional costs of owning it that are never discussed would be increased speeding tickets and insurance premiums.

Which one did you drive? I am guessing a Wind.

Insurance isn't that much more, unless you mean after the speeding tickets. :):

A good radar detector and paying attention can get you a long way.

Yep, the Wind. No GTs around, but I can only imagine what instantly available 576HP and 545 lb. ft of torque feels like. :)

Pretty awesome. You have to go to IL to get a GT.

That said, I would tell people to go for the Wind AWD. Unless you REALLY want that extra power. The Wind is pretty fast in its own right.

Probably going to end up with a wimpy ICE Stinger.

Although KLB and I started a thread hijack ( and sorry about that), it does show that there is a potential market for all-electric cars; no government intervention is necessary.
