Plenty of food coming soon as the weather breaks and the squids start riding their new sport bikes… :). Let the ducks eat!

You must be up in the flatlands? It's the cruzer guys who buy it down here in the hills and curves. 135 to Nashville from north and south buys a lot of helicopter rides.

That's what I see down here as well. Lot's of "motorcycle left the roadway" accidents.

    That's exactly it.

It's not the sport bikes crashing here, it's the folks with the highway pegs. Often these aren't real high speed crashes either. The cruzer crowd is frequently not much for gear though, so bouncing off the ground of any sort is an issue. Not to mention heavy hardware coming down on top.

Lotta weekend warriors out there who never learn any more skill than is needed to ride in straight lines and make box turns getting from one bar to the next. Same guys seem to have strong opinions about what constitutes a "real" bike.

This is what you must be speaking of…

This is they type of crash I'm talking about. How in the f*** do you ride off into a large ditch?

Speed, alcohol, poor training (e.g. Target focus), mechanical failure... Any or all of those.

I keep an eye on these stories - almost all are just one vehicle.

In a city, the threat is a left turning car, in the country the threat is the rider.
