    In the country, hopefully.
I don't think I've ever seen one in that condition before. That's a sweet pistol.

Today the wind got the chill down to my bones. I've got the wood stove burning a little warmer. It died down to a breeze around 1600, but by then I had a chill to my bone. Anyone else work outside all day today? Maybe I'm just getting older and feeling it more nowadays.
I’d like to say I work outside, but in reality we have machine or truck cabs we spend time in, as the boss I’m probably 90/10 operating in a cab, but even the worst job is 50/50.
But I’ve spent a long time with cabless equipment, working alone, and upgrading. Actually made a joke about it in the first world problems thread.

I am definitely feeling it though, the more I age.

    Not far from the tree
Ok, I lied. It's freaking freezing. At least I've actually seen some deer to keep the excitement up a bit. Now I just need them a couple hundred yards closer on my side of the line.

Also, I've heard zero shots so far...am I the only one out here freezing my parts off?
Nope. Friend sitting my patch. Saw a bruiser cruising a bean field w of Richmond this AM. Just S of I70.

Morning everybody, not CZ but picked this up yesterday. I got tired of waiting for the SA-35 so I had to scratch a BHP itch. I found this Girsan MC-35 on GB for less than 475.00 so I decided to try one out. It's a very faithful repro of the MKIII BHP. Better slide/frame fit than you would find in most Browning's too. I'll shoot it this weekend some time. Typical bad BHP trigger though but that can be tweaked pretty easily. I had a Ritchie Leather holster ready to go for when I found an SA-35 but still waiting.

I have never owned or fired a BHP or clone. Gun store/show fondled a few. Regret not buying a nice T series about a decade ago.

Question… How do I properly remove the thread protector on the barrel? Is there a specific tool that goes with this? I don’t want to use pliers/channel locks and scratch it up. Looks like it has to come off in order to remove the barrel from the slide for cleaning. Thanks.

A strip of leather belt and the appropriate set of pliers.

I have plenty of extra leather belts as they keep shrinking in my closet....

I think I have a scrap of leather I used for waxing bow strings. I’ll give that a try when I get back home.

I don’t have extra belts as I more recently reached “adulthood” with the purchase of my first genuine leather belt this year!
