For some reason I have got a hankering to build an SPR. I have a fairly accurate bolt action in 223 that is capable of SPR distances. The only downside, if you would call it that, is the internal magazine is kind of a PITA to load. I also have a 6arc with 24 inch barrel if I want to reach out to 1k+. I am trying to justify the money spent on the components to build this thing. What say yall?

Could you throw a few more abbreviations or contractions into your posts?? I mean I almost understand what you are talking about........

    Maybe an anagram or two.

If you have the funds... Go for it.

If you do not, which I don't think is the case given you state you have a "6arc", then I say go for it.

Make it a cloner build, though.

Have you tried running lighter projectiles (55-70)? I understand it's more of a long range caliber, but I am interested in it for hunting coyotes at night. I want something fast and flat.

Nothing quite that light. I may have to just to satisfy both our curiosities. Mine has a 1:7 twist, so I'm not sure that light will pattern. I will dig into the book and report back.

I've got some 55 and 70 grain that I use in my 6mm creedmoor. The 55 grains are moving at 4100 fps out of my 12 twist barrel with 46.5 grains of powder. It's a laser, but it's kind of heavy to carry with my tripod, heavy scope, caller, etc...
