Been running ethanol fuel? Now I'm back on the hate side.
One more thing to check in the morning....put it aside this evening before my patience got thin. If that doesn't work, looks like a tear down coming
Grrr.
Been running ethanol fuel?
Ohhh those are fun.Changed over to AV a few weeks ago. Ran fine.
Now looks to be a spark issue.
Nice choice. Son just bought a 261.Spark issue resolved.....then found the fuel vent somehow went AWOL.
Went for parts and walked out with another saw to have backup.....because they give me so much joy...and frustration.

Your a little far for me to help with the trees but i can rebuild your husqy for you if your interested. If you are in love with your chainsaws and want to help a fellow INGO’er out I have practice trees that need the drop and chop.
Ash trees that I should have taken care of before now but of course put off. A couple are challenging leaners a huge corner of lot one not pictured.
The understory bushes are being cleared at the moment and my neighbor said the log splitter is available. Wife wants a flower garden so I will rent me a chipper so I can chip up the small stuff into anti weed covering for the area.
Had a Husqvarna ranch hand and two years ago I lent it out to a guy. Well it came back and does not have any ass anymore and seems to be very down on cylinder compression. So a new one is in the mix. I know Stihl but that old ranch hand was like and old friend.
Here is the weird thing. I have only cut up stuff already down. Never dropped a tree. My uncle used to call me and say there is a nice one down in the 100 acres north end. Can you help me out. Once they are down I am pretty good.
I still run a ported 272 xp. What a great saw. My old logging partner is selling his 372. Offered it to me and I'm trying to pass it up. I do not need another saw I tell myself, but I say that all the time with firearms and that doesn't work. This old firefightin saw showed up at my door today. Been keeping an eye out for an original 372 or 272 in good shape that wasnt $600+ for a while. It rolled across my screen last week and i bought it immediately. Judging by the piston it hasnt been run much at all and it cleaned up really well. Needs a few things but itll run and cut as is. The bar it came with is made out of Cobalt (drill bit material)

Do you have the limiter caps on the mix screws? If so you cant get it lean enough to blow up. I run 40:1 VP Fuel 2 stroke mix, as long as you dont forget to add enough oil you should be fine. Is AV short for aviation fuel?Ran the 261 all day yesterday....ran like a top. Was running the Stihl premix fuel through it....runs great and folks swear by it, but it is certainly not cheap!
271 is running, but holding off on any long runs for a tach to arrive.... want to make sure I've got the carb tuned before running the AV through it again. Planning on comparing the AV to the Stihl premix.
Any thoughts / opinions?
