Been through this before. Even worse with rationing back in the 70’s. Politics are at play here, but not what one would think. Oil Barrons as private companies that make billions off of handling imported oil cry and whine not for the country, but for their big fat profits. If that’s not bad enough, they want pipelines and other unforgiving help to continue lining their pockets even more. Again a false economy based on subsidized fuel prices means now, we have to pay the real price. They are private companies, let them figure it out if they want to stay in business.

I'll go out on a limb here and say, he's not entirely wrong. Oil companies have plenty to do with it.

Oil companies have been raking in record profits as the price we pay at the pump goes up and up. They could choose to lower their margin a bit and help out the masses, but they won't. Their primary responsibility is to their shareholders and their shareholders demand maximized profit. 2020 was a rough year for big oil. They aren't about to cut us a break.

I sure hope you just forgot to use purple. The regime in power in Venezuela has never been a friend of the US. Their oil producing machinery is in shambles. Everything that can be stolen has been. It would take years and billions of dollars to get it up and running again.

Mean while, down in Texas, they are putting out less than half of their potential due to regulations. With the wave of a pen all the lost oil from Russia could be replaced by American oil and half again as much. The people in Alaska are begging the .gov to allow them to increase production but were turned down.

It kind of makes you wonder what the whole goal of the Biden administration is, doesn't it? Even if they were not trying to destroy the country, if they were what would they be doing differently?
