This is a BIG game for both teams.

    This is from 2019:

“Since Bill Belichick took the reign as Patriots head coach in 2000, the Patriots have a .737 win percentage in the game directly following a bye week, with a 14-5 overall record.”

    From PFT:

“The Colts joined the rest of the football world in watching how the Patriots beat the Bills on Monday night in Week 13 and they don’t want to have the same thing happen to them this Saturday night.”

“New England ran the ball 46 times and threw it just three times during a 14-10 win on a blustery night. There won’t be any weather conditions to worry about in Indianapolis this weekend, but the Patriots have still relied heavily on the run this season and the Colts don’t expect that to change unless they force the Patriots to change.”

“On Monday, linebacker Bobby Okereke said that is exactly what the Colts will focus on doing this week.”

“That’s a pride point for us,” Okereke said, via Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star. “We’re just ready to attack the run and make them one-dimensional.”

“If the Colts can do that, the Patriots will need rookie quarterback Mac Jones to come up big and accomplishing that task would only make the Patriots look more difficult to beat heading into the postseason.”

DeAndre Hopkins will miss the rest of the regular season with a knee injury. Cardinals will be without one of their top weapons when we play them on Christmas.

Also, the Colts v Patriots coverage I’ve been hearing suggests that the Patriots run a similar defense to the Bucs. Our offense put up 31 against Tampa and the New England offense is not as potent as Tampa’s so we may have a good shot. If Taylor and the run game get going then I think we won. If not, then it might be a tough game. Need the defense to continue to get turnovers.

Please do not turn this into a covid thread.

With players testing positive and missing games when should the NFL cancel games because teams lack players? There are usually about 63 total, 53 on the roster and 46 for a game. How many Covid drops to force a cancellation?

So CP who helps the Colts by losing this week?

    Outcomes that benefit the Colts:

    Chiefs over Chargers
    Raiders over Browns
    Panthers over Bills
    Packers over Ravens
    Jets over Dolphins

There’s a couple other games that are kind’ve a wash.

Bengals vs Broncos - They’re both 7-6 so whatever, one of them will be 7-7 after the game.

Titans vs Steelers - I guess we want the Titans to win? I can listen to both sides of that one. A Titans win would hurt the Steelers in the wildcard race. A Steelers win could potentially get us closer to winning the AFC South, but that’s very unlikely.

Colts fan should hope the patriots get smacked around Saturday.
OLD BILL normally takes out the best player so JT.
colts are definitely going against the odds this season. At one point they had a 13 percent chance to make the playoffs.

The Browns now are expected to play without either of their top two QB’s. How would Colts fans feel if Wentz and Taylor are out against the Pats?

As dumb as I think the NFL protocol is, it affects all teams equally. So I wouldn’t feel bad necessarily if it happened to the Colts, I would just know that we would definitely lose. But since we need the Browns to lose I don’t feel terrible…
